Monday to Friday 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm
Weekends 9am-4pm.
About our Society
Founded in 1888 WPS is a lively society with over 80 members. All areas of photography are covered from archival photography through to digital imaging.
We like to think of ourselves as a friendly place to learn about photography and its various techniques as well as a place to enjoy it as a hobby. All photographic abilities are catered for ranging from novice to expert.
We have frequent photographic outings, competitions and our annual"spectacular" where we host a famous photographer at a local theatre. Andy Rouse and Charlie Waite are two of our recent celebrity lecturers.
Our competitions cover print, slide and projected digital images, so whatever your taste or abilities, you can take part!
We are affiliated to the PAGB and the MCPF. Furthermore, we also offer help, advice, support and encouragement to any member wishing to obtain a distinction with the Royal Photographic Society.
WPS take pride in being able to offer something for everyone interested in photography. Whether you are the casual photographer who may just want to take better holiday snaps, through to the more serious amateur who wants to create some really spectacular images. We can help you achieve your goals.
