Winter Competition 2004-5 This competition centred around single use disposable cameras. This resulted in images which were solely reliant on the photographers skill, rather than all the jiggery-pokery of modern automatic and digital cameras. There were 3 subjects categories, Landscape, People and Reflections. Each competitor selected his or her best 3 prints from the 24 or so taken by each camera. The prints were then scanned in, cropped as indicated by the author and then displayed for judging using a laptop and digital projector. No manipulation of the images was allowed. Our judge for this evening was our very own Alan Lawrence ARPS who, despite considerable (but good humoured) barracking from the audience, did a sterling job. Thanks to Harry Hunt for organising the cameras, Chris Nutt for the scanning and computer programming and Mike Piper for the scoring. Results Overall Winner - Carol Doughty
Tying for top marks - but coming second as he only had one "9" to Carols two "9"s - Robin Harris
. The winning prints for each category were: Reflections - Len Doughty
. People - Kath Brennan
Landscape - Terry Jones FRPS
