Photography Show is open at Civic Centre
A free exhibition of photographs capturing faces and places across the city has been launched at the Civic Centre. It has beeen created by four members of Wolverhampton Photographic Society. Jon George, Gerald Hanrahan, Roy Hawthorne and John Hodgson have put on a display a collection of more than 100 photographs, taken between them over the years. These include portraits, landscapes and historical city landmarks, such as the railway arches at the old Great Western Station. The event, entitled Photo Call, was opened this week by the photographers and runs until September 5th, from 9am to 5pm. Budding photographers and visitors to the exhibition will also have the chance to take away a leaflet about the display, as well as leave their details to receive the Society's 2003/2004 programme of events, which start in September. The group will meet every Tuesday at 7.45pm, in the assembly room at the Merry Hill pub in Trysull Road. For more details call 01902 455988 or 01902 341696 |
