Digital Calibration

Whilst so many of us are using computers, monitors and printers to achieve the photographic output we desire, very few have a calibrated system. Without calibration, achieving the colours on your print that have some resemblance to those dispalyed on your monitor is at best hit and miss. A full system calibration allows you to very simply get true WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) from monitor to printer. And it may not be as expensive as you first thought.

So, you can either:

Do it yourself

A digital calibration kit is available to our members for loan periods of one week . The only stipulation is that you must have been a member of the society for at least one year (or at the committees discretion). With this kit you can calibrate your monitor (CRT or LCD), your flatbed scaner and your printer. You do need access to a good quality flatbed scanner in order to perform the printer calibration. Full written instructions are included with the kit.

Contact Chris Nutt either by e-mail or at the weekly meetings in order to book your slot.
